Hello all,
I am new to databases and have created a basic one for my business.
It is an orders/inventory tracking database. I need for it to tell me how many items are in stock, and the item movements between locations as well as when items came in stock, and go out for jobs. I tend not to keep inventory (Order things in for jobs specifically) but would like an inventory tracking system anyway.
I would also like for the job sheet page background to be red when "ready"(all items in stock) or white when all the items are not in stock
Have a look at the attatched file, it will probably make more sense.
I can do simple things like layout and such, am just having trouble setting relationships and autoupdate feilds.
i dont think this is a big job for a good database programmer.

I have a fantasy football website.

It needs to do everything from collecting and calculating stats to being able to create multiple leagues.

It should have both the front-end interface where users can sign up and the admin interface to control everything.

Also I would like to add the feature of having leagues with a entry fee and prize.

Users will register to the site,and then can apply for a managers role or part of a team ie this is called free agents

Once they apply, Admin is notified, and then admin decides if the person aplying can be captain or not.

Once they have been picked to be a team player or a manager then there locker room comes avaiable to them

From there they can see there team, and badge etc...

They then look to sign other members to there team, they send a contract to other members which can then be accepted or denied.

Once accepted they are then added to the list with there selected position next to there name.

Once all teams are filled, fixtures are put up by admin which teams then play on xbox live.

Once played they go to the website and fill in the score sheet.

Once BOTH teams have filled in the correct MATCHING scores, the league table is updated automatically accordingly.

If one team has not submitted there result by the time the next fixtures go up, then the team that did, gets the win regardless if they actually won or not.

Stats are also reported and updated and viewable to all the website.

Transfers between teams can happen also and this feature is available to all and one both managers agree a transfer for a player the player is automatically swapped to the appropriate team.at the right time ie the transfer window is open..so i would need this to be changed when we need too

I also want to be able to edit the look of the site in dreamweaver, without effecting any of the coding or any other website design program

The aim of this project is to produce a system that will allow users to access any number of pdf documents from different websites, that have the URLs stored in a database.

The user will load the application and start typing the name of the document they want (e.g. "Maintenance Report"), and the program will only display database items that match the query (e.g. Maintenance Report 2007, Maintenance Report 2008). The user is able to select one of the search results by clicking on it or slecting it with the keyboard, and the user is then prompted whether they want to view the document. If they choose to, the the file is downloaded from the web and saved in a folder on their machine and also opened in their default PDF viewer. If they already have the file in their local folder, the program does not download it, just opens it from the folder.

All that most users needs to be able to do is search and open files, and all they need to see is the name of the file - they do not need to see the other contents of the database, nor should they be able to make any changes.

The database does need to be able to be edited by the administrator though, so a mechanism for adding / removing / editing data must exist (but be hidden from view / unavailable unless needed).

The program will be run on multiple machines, and there needs to be a way to update the database remotely (e.g. the database may be shared over the network, and the program would check if the shared one was newer than its own, and if so would update).

The database would only need to store the name of the file and the link to the file (and presumably an item number or some key field).

We are building a complex website, with an RIA tool built in Adobe Flex and a supporting website built in Microsoft .NET 3.5. We require a graphic designer to provide skins for both the tool and the website. We may award this as a single project or as two separate ones, at our discretion.

PART ONE: Adobe Flex RIA
The requirement for this part of the project will be to provide both static skin elements and some dynamic elements for an Adobe Flex RIA. Static elements may include tool icons and minor branding elements. Dynamic elements may include button rollover states, component open/close animations and the reskinning of existing Flex/Flash components.
You will be provided with access to a working model of the application, along with several reference sites and a detailed list of requirements. The application will be functionally complete when presented to you and you will be tasked to take it to the next level in terms of its appearance and finish. Branding will be minimal on the RIA and the main focus of the work will be creating the most elegant and attractive user experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS FOR PART ONE.:
In addition to a flair for design, an eye for detail and all the other usual good stuff, you will need to be able to provide assets in a format and structure suitable for incorporation into a Flex RIA built using 100% Actionscript 3.0. No gotoAndPlay(), please! Our developer is very used to working with interactive designers and will structure program elements in a manner which makes them possible to skin.
