Profile: I am a University qualified linguist/translator/interpreter/ESL teacher who is keen to find a position as an in-house or freelance translator. I have previously worked for the subsidiary of the Société Générale and the British Council and gained a good understanding of what skills are required from a translator/interpreter, personal assistant. I am a reliable, meticulous, flexible and easy-going person, with excellent written and communication skills in English, Russian, French and an intermediate level of German. SKILLS: • Fluent Russian, French and English with excellent written skills • Intermediate level of German with good written skills • Self-motivated and able to work at speed • Computer literate • Discreet and trsutworthy in translating confidential documents • Good “eye for detail” WORK EXPERIENCE: • OCTOBER, 2005 – up to August, 2008: Limited Liability Company RusFinance Bank (the consumer finance subsidiary of the Société Générale French Banking Group) Worked as an interpreter/translator (English, French, Russian), Executive PA The functions performed : -Written English/French/German to Russian, Russian to English/French/German translations of business correspondence, various internal procedures, legal regulations, Russian and international law articles, agency/partnership/master agreements, orders, claims, complaints, technology guides, user manuals, IT specifications, invoices, progress/efficiency reports, minutes of business meetings, memorandums, Power Point presentations of the company’s business activities. -Consecutive interpreting during trainings, meetings, telephone conversations, video-conferences, presentations - Secretarial duties such as organizing the office and arranging transport for staff and clients. • December 2002 - May 2003: As a student I translated from French into English approximately 500 excerpts in chemistry and medicine from the book, entitled “A CENTURY OF NOBEL PRIZE RECIPIENTS: CHEMISTRY, PHYSICS AND MEDICINE”, edited by Francis Leroy (Belguim), 2003 October - March 2002: The British Council: Worked as an interpreter in the Teachers’ International Professional Development Project (TIPD).
